In line with the Government of Bahrain’s targets to achieve energy efficiency and implement innovative technologies, the Low Voltage Direct Current demonstration project was launched.
The project aims to pilot a residential power distribution system utilising DC current in place of the traditional AC current systems.
The pilot will compare the power consumption of three houses utilising DC current against three houses utilising the traditional AC current. The project will be delivered in a three phased approach, due for completion in 2023.
